Summary of meals in the Tayyibat Diet

●      There are five basic staples on which the system relies: rice, potatoes, oil, sugar, and dates.

●      Meals are based on two main elements: whole grain toast and rice.

●      Whole grain toast can be eaten with simple additions such as a small amount of oil or thyme. In this way, the body obtains vitamins and minerals, and its vital functions improve while muscles are strengthened.

●      Then a piece of cheese can be added, or a light snack such as chips can be eaten, or butter and jam can be added, or butter with chocolate such as Nutella.

●      The diet is completed by consuming rice with soup.

Fruit juices and the Tayyibat Diet

Objections have been raised regarding the allowance of some products such as fruit juices containing preservatives within the Tayyibat Diet.

Dr. El-Awady adds that some people reject preservatives, although they are present in very small amounts. For example, sodium benzoate is easily handled and excreted by the body.

Likewise, nitrites are found in very small quantities in juices, while humans may consume larger amounts of them in medications. Nitrite is a multifunctional substance used in preservation, medicine, and even explosives; what matters is how the body deals with it and its ability to eliminate it.

The claim that a product is β€œnatural” is also considered misleading, as there is nothing on Earth that is non-natural.

Even preservatives are derived from natural substances and are not necessarily the result of fully artificial chemical reactions. Therefore, preservatives should neither be exaggerated in fear nor underestimated; instead, they should be evaluated objectively, especially since herbs themselves may have stronger effects than preservatives.

For example, nutmeg may cause severe symptoms if consumed in excess, and cinnamon may affect pregnancy, indicating that everything has an effect, whether natural or manufactured
